Amy Gordon is a revolutionary cabaret comedienne spinning out acts of elegant absurdity for New Yorkers and the international scene.
She was artistic director and lead clownesse for The Daredevil Opera Company, performing their physical comedy, Cirkus Inferno, over 600 times in 22 countries. She performs regularly in exciting venues like Just For Laughs, La Clique, Absinthe and the New Victory Theater, as well as underground downtown speakeasies and new theatrical events like Kansas City Choirboy – a techno-conceptual operetta. As Emcee for Weimar NY she was called “politically snarky and always on cue” by the Village Voice. Her solo show, Amy G: On a Roll recently premiered at Dance Theater Workshop and the New York Post has dubbed her “a comic actress of great gifts.”
Amy has a degree in Theatre Arts from Western Washington University where she was lauded as a Finalist in the Kennedy Center/Irene Ryan ACTF Competition and honoured with the Outstanding Senior Award. She continues her studies with masters including Phillipe Gaulier, Rene Bazinet, David Shiner, Avner Eisenberg and Kenny Raskin.
