Arthur Kent

Journalist, Documentary Film Maker

As a former foreign correspondent covering war-torn regions from Afghanistan to Bosnia, Arthur Kent has seen it all.

Even though his days as NBC’s “SCUD Stud” are long behind him, this adventure-seeking journalist is still busy patrolling the globe with is camera. He is currently director and executive producer of London-based Fast Forward Films Limited and has produced documentaries for the History Channel, PBS, Britain’s Channel Four News and the CBC, where he was a national reporter in the ‘70s.

A Wedding in Basra, a Fast Forward/PBS co-production that profiled the predicament of civilians in Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, has won four national awards, including a Gold Plaque at the Chicago Television Festival. His 35 mm documentary short, A View From Bosnia, received the Gold Award at the Houston International Film Festival in 1993. Return to Afghanistan took a special documentary Gold at Worldfest Charleston in 1994.

Mr. Kent is the author of Risk and Redemption: Surviving the Network News Wars and is also the host of History Undercover on the History Channel.
