10/06/2014

He may be best known for his prodigious talents as a violinist, but Jack Forestier is continues to prove himself as a multitalented performer. This month, he’s co-starring in Theatre Calgary’s production of Mary Poppins, playing the role of the precocious Michael Banks. Directed by Michael Shamata, and running from May 6 – June 22, it features many of the classic songs from the beloved Disney film of the same name, and all the magic of P.L. Travers’s original stories. Watch below as Jack and his fellow castmates discuss their roles, and what audiences can expect when they walk through the doors and into the world of Mary Poppins and the Banks children.

“Things haven’t been going well for the Banks family. The children are out of control and a new nanny is required to put things in order. When a mysterious young woman appears on their doorstep, the family finds that she’s the answer to their prayers, but in the most peculiar way.”
