Robert J. Sawyer

Robert J. Sawyer is “the dean of Canadian science fiction,” according to the Ottawa Citizen, and “a writer of boundless confidence and bold scientific extrapolation,” according to The New York Times. His 20 novels include Hominids, which won the Hugo Award (the top international prize for science-fiction writing); The Terminal Experiment, which won the Nebula Award (the “academy award” of SF); FlashForward, which was the basis for the ABC TV series of the same name; and his current trilogy about the World Wide Web gaining consciousness, consisting of Wake, Watch, and Wonder.

Rob has published in both of the world’s top scientific journals, Science and Nature; hosted the Canadian TV series Supernatural Investigator; has been interviewed on television over 300 times; and has spoken at such venues as the Library of Congress, the NASA Ames Research Center, and the Googleplex (the international headquarters of Google).
