Victor Quijada and RUBBERBANDance

A wide range of early performance experiences led Victor Quijada to Montreal, a city he now calls home. From the hip hop clubs of his native Los Angeles to a performance career with internationally-acclaimed postmodern and ballet dance companies such as THARP! Ballet Tech and Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal, Victor is recognized as a magnetic and expansive dancer.

Pursuing his impulse to explore his own choreographic voice, Victor created his dance company, RUBBERBANDance Group in 2002. Since, he has created over 24 short and evening-length pieces both within the company structure and as commissions, and has toured his company across North America, Europe, Japan and Mexico.
