Natasha Pruss is a stranger in a strange land, but you would never know by looking. At the age of 12, in her native South Korea, she caught the attention of one of the world’s leading photographers, and, in turn, he made a project out of visually documenting her life for more than 30 years.

Rick Smolan is a former TimeLife and National Geographic photographer, best known as the creator of the “Day in the Life” book series. Today, he is CEO of Against All Odds Productions, which Fortune magazine describes as “One of the 25 Coolest Companies in America.” His global photography projects combine creative storytelling with state-of-the-art technology and his work has been featured on the covers of FortuneTime, and Newsweek. Smolan is also a New York Times best-selling author.

Together, Pruss and Smolan will share their story: one of liberation, culture, history, love, and, overall, the power human beings have to influence each other’s lives, often in the most unexpected ways.
